Cultura política, universalismo e as relações de gênero como categorias históricas: um diálogo possível?

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to reflect on the categories political culture, universalism and gender relations. More than exhaustively characterizing each of them, my main purpose is to identify the foundations of the restrictions that the first two categories weave over the last. I will then analyze whether these restrictions have epistemic reasonableness and do justice to research on gender relations. To build this process, I will make use of some issues pointed out by the place of speech, identity guidelines and intersectionality. I do not intend to exhaust all the problems that involve studies on the gender category, but I will discuss why there is an inconvenience present in the academy about this analysis tool. This tool has already pointed out explanations that have helped to understand many social problems as prejudice, intolerance and other types of violence.

Mais do que caracterizar exaustivamente cada uma delas meu propósito principal é identificar quais são as fundamentações das restrições que as duas primeiras categorias tecem sobre a última. Depois, analisarei se essas restrições possuem razoabilidade epistêmica e se fazem “justiça” para com as pesquisas sobre as relações de gênero. Para construir esse processo farei uso de algumas questões apontadas pelo lugar de fala, pautas identitárias e a interseccionalidade. Não pretendo exaurir todos os problemas que envolvem os estudos sobre a categoria gênero, mas discutirei porque há um incômodo presente na academia sobre essa ferramenta de análise. Tal ferramenta já apontou explicações que têm ajudado na compreensão de muitos problemas sociais como o preconceito, a intolerância e outros tipos de violência.El propósito de este artículo es hacer una reflexión comenzando por las categorías cultura política, universalismo y relaciones de género. Más que caracterizar exhaustivamente cada uno de ellos, mi principal propósito es identificar cuáles son los fundamentos de las restricciones que las dos primeras categorías tejen sobre la última. Después, analizaré si esas restricciones tienen razonabilidad epistémica y si hacen justicia a la investigación sobre las relaciones de género. Para construir ese proceso, haré uso de algunas cuestiones señaladas por el lugar del discurso, las pautas de identidad y la interseccionalidad. No pretendo agotar todos los problemas que involucran los estudios sobre la categoría de género, pero discutiré por qué hay un inconveniente presente en la academia sobre esa herramienta de análisis.
