Innovation in Services in the Tourist Sector: a Case Study in the Tents of “Praia do Futuro” (Fortaleza-Ceará-Brazil)

Resumo: This research aims to identify the main innovations implemented in the stalls of Praia do Futuro in Fortaleza (CE). The search for innovation of companies from different economic sectors aims to remain competitive, as well as meet customer expectations and needs in a satisfactory manner. In the tourism sector, innovation aims to provide the customer with a pleasant experience, stimulating the return to the tourist destination. The Praia do Futuro stalls, tourist attraction of Fortaleza destination, must be prepared to implement innovations that make its customers loyal through the quality and diversity of its services. This way, exploratory and descriptive research was carried out, with the application of a questionnaire in 31 stalls of the 60 existing stalls in Praia do Futuro. The results show that providing customer satisfaction is the most important reason to innovate, because the satisfied customer can attract new customers by disclosing the good service and, consequently, influence the increase in the profit of the stalls.

La búsqueda de la innovación por parte de empresas de diferentes sectores económicos tiene como objetivo mantener la competitividad frente a la competencia, así como satisfacer las expectativas y necesidades de los clientes. En el sector turístico, la innovación tiene como objetivo brindar al cliente una experiencia agradable, estimulando el regreso al destino turístico. Las carpas de Praia do Futuro, atractivo turístico de Fortaleza, deben estar preparadas para implementar innovaciones que retengan a sus clientes a través de la calidad y diversidad de sus servicios. Así, se realizó una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, con la aplicación de un cuestionario en 31 carpas de las 60 carpas existentes en Praia do Futuro. Los resultados muestran que brindar satisfacción al cliente es la razón más importante para innovar, ya que el cliente satisfecho puede atraer nuevos clientes promoviendo un buen servicio y, en consecuencia, influyendo en el aumento del beneficio de los puestos.Essa pesquisa tem por objetivo, identificar as principais inovações implementadas nas barracas de praia do futuro em fortaleza (ce). A busca da inovação das empresas de diferentes setores econômicos tem por objetivo manterem-se competitivas frente à concorrência, bem como atenderem às expectativas e necessidades do cliente de maneira satisfatória. No setor turístico, a inovação visa proporcionar ao cliente uma experiência agradável, estimulando o retorno ao destino turístico. As barracas da Praia do Futuro, atrativo turístico do destino Fortaleza, devem estar preparadas para implementar inovações que fidelizem seus clientes por meio da qualidade e diversidade dos seus serviços. Dessa forma, realizou-se pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com aplicação de questionário em 31 barracas das 60 barracas existentes na Praia do Futuro.
