Resumo: This paper focuses on the relations between economic groups and the State in contemporary Brazil, discussing what would be a "new" role for the State in the post-privatization context of the consolidation of monopoly capitalism, examining if and to what extent such relations have represented a prevalence of private interests over public interests through a colonization of public law by private law, and having as a method to analyze, from a theoretical Marxist framework, the trajectory of relations between BNDES and FIBRIA.
