Resumo: In this article, the position of Chinese state companies - SOEs - mining on the copper sector in Ecuador was analyzed in relation to the Go Global strategy; in an effort to understand the political nature of markets and the links between the external and internal markets within the International Political Economy - EPI. In the operation of State-owned companies as arms of China's foreign policy and the deployment of corporate diplomacy and its implications for countries such as Ecuador in relation to China's internationalized development strategy against human rights. Regarding the methodological line, this article corresponded to an interpretive investigation through the analysis of factual facts, primary and secondary sources that determined as preliminary findings the hybridization between China's foreign and industrial policy through the global diffusion of SOEs in the control of certain markets such as mining and access to certain natural resources considered strategic, however, the development of mining activity without a democratic climate poses a risk to the guarantee of the human rights of the local population in extractive contexts. By way of conclusion, it is understood how the effects of corporate diplomacy have the ability to affect not only the markets but also the political organization of the host countries, with the risk of violating the sphere of protection of human rights in regions like Latin America.
