Resumo: | This article approaches the essential elements for a historical understanding of the subject “human rights and business”, a theme that led to the approval by the United Nations, in 2011, of the so-called "Ruggie Guiding Principles". The research reports the trajectory of awareness about the involvement of corporations, especially transnational ones, in humans rights violations. In the end, it proposes ways to engage the agenda, aiming the end of wicked consequences resulting from business negligence. |
