Resumo: This article aims to analyze the case of the Fireworks Factory workers in Santo Antonio de Jesus and their Families vs. Brazil, which has recently been held in res judicata by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Thus, the article is structured around the description of the case, the main arguments brought by the Court and, ultimately, the general contributions of the sentence and its implications in International Law. To this end, it employs qualitative data based on a documentary review, considering normative, jurisprudential and journalistic texts, in order to seek the possible implications of the sentence, including to the Human Rights and Business agenda.

Por lo tanto, el artículo se estructura en torno a la descripción fáctica del caso, de los principales argumentos presentados por la Corte y, finalmente, las contribuciones generales de la sentencia y sus implicaciones en el Derecho Internacional. Para ello, se utilizan datos cualitativos procedentes de un análisis documental, a través de textos normativos, jurisprudenciales y periodísticos, con el fin de buscar las posibles implicaciones de la sentencia del caso a la agenda de Derechos Humanos y Empresas.O presente artigo visa à análise do caso Empregados da Fábrica de Fogos de Santo Antônio de Jesus e seus Familiares Vs. Brasil, recentemente transitado em julgado diante da Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos. Desse modo, o artigo se estrutura em torno da descrição factual do caso, dos principais argumentos trazidos pela Corte e, por fim, das contribuições gerais da sentença e suas implicações no Direito Internacional.
