Resumo: | A very high vocal demand occurs during the practice of the lyric singing, with strong intensities and high treble notes, causing the overload of the involved muscles in the voice releasing. This study evaluated the warming-unwarming vocal practice for lyric singers, as well as, the influence of the speech therapists as preventive agents. A cross-sectional study was performed to evaluate a sample of thirty-three singers from the brazilian Southeast region, that went through a questionnaire; being asked broad questions such as identification, vocal arrangement, age, education, dedication time to the lyric singing and warming-unwarming vocal practice. The main noticed results were the priorities concerning to warming techniques and the need to encourage the teaching of unwarming approachs among the preceptors of those singers category to value their working-tool, that is the voice, as well as the small search for Speech therapists (only 27% sample); considering that even when searched, this information achieved only 44% of the cases. Not only the need of encouraging the vocal warming-unwarming in the academic environment has been emphasized, but also the professionals involved with needs, altogether with singers category. |

Not only the need of encouraging the vocal warming-unwarming in the academic environment has been emphasized, but also the professionals involved with needs, altogether with singers category.Durante a prática do canto lírico, ocorre uma demanda vocal muito alta, com fortes intensidades e notas agudíssimas, gerando sobrecarga dos músculos envolvidos na emissão da voz. Este estudo analisou a prática de aquecimento e desaquecimento vocal por parte de cantores líricos, bem como a influência do fonoaudiólogo como agente de prevenção. Trata de estudo seccional, no qual foi investigada uma amostra de 33 cantores líricos da região sudeste brasileira. Os mesmos foram submetidos a um questionário, com perguntas gerais de identificação, classificação vocal, idade, tempo de estudo e dedicação ao canto lírico, bem como prática de aquecimento e desaquecimento vocais. Os principais resultados observados foram a priorização das técnicas de aquecimento vocal, a necessidade de estimular o ensino dos métodos de desaquecimento entre os preceptores destes cantores, valorizando seu objeto de trabalho, bem como a pequena procura pelo profissional fonoaudiólogo (27% da amostra), sendo que mesmo quando houve a procura, esta informação em 44% dos casos.
