Resumo: Introduction: Studying the sociodemographic and clinical profile of ILPI residents allows for greater understanding of the particularities of this population, contributing to better care by the assisting multidisciplinary team and the planning of public policies. Objective: To characterize the clinical-functional and sociodemographic profile of elderly individuals residing in an ILPI over a period of ten years. Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out through a review of the medical records of residents who lived in a philanthropic ILPI between July 2010 and July 2020. Results: A total of 205 elderly individuals were included in the study. The average admission age was 70.07 years, with the majority of individuals coming from situations of social vulnerability, identifying as Catholic, white, having an educational level of 0-3 years, being single, having family contact, being retired, non-smokers, non-drinkers, using mobility aids, without incontinence and independent in Basic Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Comparing admissions made before July 2010 and between July 2010 and July 2020, the sociodemographic profile remained similar. However, there was an increase in some medications and comorbidities, with statistical significance in diabetes and the use of antidiabetic drugs. In the clinical-functional profile, antihypertensive and psychotropic medications predominated, as well as cardiovascular comorbidities and mental disorders, which remained prevalent in the comparative analysis. Conclusion: The clinical-functional and sociodemographic profile of residents in this ILPI showed little difference over 10 years, with individuals with low dependence on ADL, social vulnerability and cardiovascular comorbidities predominating.
