Methods: This is a descriptive, qualitative study. Data collection was carried out from March 23 to April 25, 2021, and had as instrument the functionality of the Google online electronic form platform. The field of study was the sector responsible for dispensing medications at the CEAF in the city of Valente-BA and had nine CEAF users in this city as participants. For data analysis, the Thematic Content Analysis method was used. Results: Individuals recognize their right to access CEAF drugs and consider it as a tool that improves their quality of life, but they have little knowledge about the component. The facilities found were the collaboration of the Municipal Health Department (SMS), support from the SMS employee, information from the doctor and good service in health services. The difficulties were the lack of medication, information and collaboration from the City Hall, as well as bureaucracy and delay in acquiring them. Conclusions: It is necessary to reduce limitations and strengthen the advances found in order to collaborate to promote the right to access medicines in practice.
