Resumo: The work characterized the profile of the visitors to Mendanha Municipal Natural Park in the Bairro de Bangu (Bangu Quarter), Rio de Janeiro county RJ. A total of 407 visitors were interviewed. The use of the questionnaires was used to characterize the predominant structural profile of the visitors and provided theoretical supports to back the objectives of environmental conservation and redirect management and planning activities to meet the raised leisure and open air recreation demands and environmental interpretation. And in addition, a referential to promote improvements of the provided services directed mainly to environmental education programs.
