Resumo: Floristic composition and structure of an non-exploited up floodplain forest in Amazonia were studied and an economic valuation was made. The study area is located at EMAPA forestlands, County of Afuá, State of Pará. The species with the highest IVIAE were: Eschweilera coriacea, Swartizia racemosa, Virola surinamensis, Licania macrophylla and Inga edulis. Virola surinamensis and Eschweilera coriacea were the species with the highest number of marketable boles, 25 boles.ha-1 e 17 boles.ha-1, respectively. The valuation of the stand forest indicated a potential bole income of R$ 1.930,23.ha-1 and a potential palm heart income of R$ 169,13.ha-1.
