GENETIC EVALUATION OF PROGENYES OF AÇAIZEIRO (Euterpe oleracea) AND ESTIMATES OF GENETIC PARAMETERS

Resumo: This  work  evaluated the genotypic of progenies and individuals of açaí palm tree in the state of Pará for the following characters: height (ALT), plant diameter (DIAM), number of alive leaves (NFV), height of the first bunch (AC), number of tillers (NP), presence of bunches (PC), length of internode (CI) and survival of the plant (SOB). It also estimates of genetic and ambient parameters that allow to infer  the genetic control and level of current  genetic variability in the evaluated material, assuming a mixed mating reproductive system with the occurrence the rate of 12,9% of self-fertilization. Methodology REML/BLUP was used In a general way with exception of the characters plant diameter and survival, all of it had presented excessively expressive genetic variability, evidencing the great potential for the selection in the proper experimental population. Considering the two rates of self-fertilization (0% and 12,9%) the differences in the estimates of the gain they had been worthless. The individual selection relatively presented estimate greater of genetic gain for the character number of tillers relatively for the selection of progenies. Using techniques of multivariated analysis six divergent groups had been gotten, which can guide crossings aiming at the search of heterótics descendants. The majority of the progenies was placed in a unique genetic group.
