TREE SPECIES BEHAVIOR IN SOILS SUBMITED TO LIMING IN IJACI COUNTY, MINAS GERAIS STATE

This study evaluated the silvicultural behavior of four forestry species: Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan, Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi., Inga vera Willd, Enterolobium contortisiliquum (Vell.) Morong in a riparian forests area which soils were submitted to liming in Ijaci county, Minas Gerais State. Heigth (H), steam diameter at ground level (DAS) and crown area (AC) of the plants were measured at 5, 11 and 16 months after planting. The area without liming presented greater increase in DAS, H and AC for Anadenanthera colubrine and only in height for Schinus terebinthifolius. In the area with liming, Enterolobium contortisiliquum presented higher average in H and Inga vera in DAS. Schinus terebinthifolius presented higher average for H e AC and Enterolobium contortisiliquum for DAS.
