Resumo: Direct seeding method of regeneration in mixed plantation was analyzed. The analyzed species were: Cedrela fissilis Vell., Copaifera langsdorffii Desf., Enterolobium contortisiliquum (Vell.) Morong, Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) Macbr. and Tabebuia serratifolia (Vahl) Nich. The trial analyzed three seeding environments:  Trema micrantha under story,  planted in 5x2m spacing, aged 5 years and named “under story”, seeding in "full sun light" and “pioneer tree species seeding".  Seeding density and the germinative protector use were also analyzed. Germinated seeds number, plants survival and soil temperature and moisture, in and out of the germinative protector, were evaluated. The obtained results indicated that the protector increased germination values and velocity, and plants survival of the 5 species, but were not essential for the forest establishment. The seeding density didn’t affect the analyzed factors. The direct light incidence was the best condition for seed germination and survival. However, the under story condition propitiated germination and survival too. Direct seeding showed good results for the studied species.
