Resumo: This article aims to reflect on the formative and humanizing function of literature, specifically the poetry of Adélia Prado. Based on the assumption of the humanizing power of poetry, it is up to us to show the possibility of a conception of training that goes beyond the purely epistemological dimension concerned with meeting the demands of science and technology, that is, we try to pay attention to a path that does not its sole focus is to substantiate pragmatic knowledge. Based on this observation, we affirm the need for a training of the sensitive capable of touching the human being through literary art, taking him to the art of contemplating the minimum things that are sources of joy and imbue life with meaning.

Partiendo de la asunción del poder humanizador de la poesía, nos corresponde mostrar las posibilidades de una concepción de la formación que vaya más allá de la dimensión puramente epistemológica preocupada por atender las demandas de la ciencia y la tecnología, es decir, que busquemos luchar contra ellas. por un camino que no tiene el conocimiento pragmático como único eje fundamental. A partir de esta observación, afirmamos la necesidad de un entrenamiento sensorial capaz de tocar al ser humano a través del arte literario, elevando el arte de la contemplación de las cosas más pequeñas que son fuente de alegría y dan sentido a la vida.O presente artigo objetiva refletir sobre a função formativa e humanizadora da literatura, especificamente da poesia de Adélia Prado. Partindo do pressuposto do poder humanizador da poesia, cabe-nos mostrar as possibilidades de uma concepção de formação que ultrapasse a dimensão, puramente, epistemológica preocupada em atender às exigências da ciência e da tecnologia, ou seja, procuramos nos atentar para um caminho que não tem como único foco fundamentar o conhecimento pragmático.
