Produção científica sobre “lógicas institucionais”: um estudo bibliométrico (1991 – 2021)

Institutional Theory has a tradition in the administrative sciences. With a focus on understanding the relationships between agents and institutions in organizations, contemporary strands of institutionalism emerged, especially after the 1990s. Among the strands, the construct of "Institutional Logics" stands out, with this perspective completing 30 years in 2021. That said, the objective of this article was to present and describe the results of a bibliometric research on institutional logics. A bibliometric study was carried out, based on the search for articles published between 1991 and 2021 in the Web Of Science® database. Articles were quantified, research fronts and intellectual bases were identified, the networks of countries that most publish and interrelate, keyword networks, author co-citations and contributions on the state of the art. In addition, it was identified that the authors prioritize the investigation of institutional complexity, with most studies aiming to understand how actors respond to such complexity. Institutional change has also been an object of investigation. The agency capacity of different actors is also highlighted, as well as the importance of institutional entrepreneurs in conducting institutional change processes.
