Resumo: Six bands of Landsat TM data obtained in 1989 and 1992 were used for monitoring changes in Eucalyptus forest plantations and other cover types located in the Vale do Rio Doce, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The data sets were digitally registered, geometrically retified and resampled to a 30 meter grid. The image ratioing change detection technique was used in this study and the results were evaluated both qualitatively and quantitatively. Results indicated that all six transformed image ratioing were efective to evaluate changes in Eucalyptus forest plantations and other cover types.

Os conjuntos de dados foram corrigidos geometricamente, georreferenciados, registrados e reamostrados a uma rede de 30 metros.
