Dinâmica dos grupos de pesquisa: um estudo do GHEMAT-SC

The main aim of this paper is to present the dynamics of research groups, in particular, of the Grupo de Pesquisa em História da Educação Matemática – Santa Catarina (GHEMAT-SC) coordinated at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Our theoretical background is based on the sociological perspective of Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002) and the activation of conceptual field tools and scientific capital. All analyses are performed based on available information in the Currículo Lattes and the Research Group Directory from CNPq, and Gephi and IRaMuTeQ software were used in order to provide the visualisation of the data. Observing both structure and distribution of the agents of GHEMAT-SC, we may note the relationship dynamics in the group, a search for recognition and an increase in scientific and symbolic capital. Hence, the research group is growing over the years, expanding the scientific exchange among agents, working collectively. Another aspect is the alignment with the theoretical-methodological perspective of all research from Cultural History and School Culture, with Santa Catarina State as the locus, primary school and teaching of arithmetic in different time frames and sources of analyses, from normative documents, textbooks, magazines and pedagogical manuals and school notebooks.
