Resumo: | Organizational culture is a very little teme explored in the practical and theoretical fields in cooperative organizations, but of great relevance for the administration of cooperatives. It tries to understand that theoretical elements of brazilian culture can be served as reference to analyze the organizational culture in cooperatives. The methodology is based on comparative method of theoretical analysis as from the definition of analytic category that serve as reference to analyze the brazilian culture and the beginnings of cooperativism that serve to characterize the organizational culture in cooperatives. It brakes of the presupposition that universal beginnings of cooperativism is not enough it goes us to establish entails associative among yours members, putting into practice the brazilian culture values to establish sociability entals.Therefore, it’s possible to make sure that the beginnings of cooperativism have successfully as much as that the culture context to be nearly to the democracy, especially the participative democracy. |

Procura-se compreender que elementos teóricos da cultura brasileira podem servir de referência para analisar a cultura nas organizações cooperativas. A metodologia está fundamentada no método comparativo de análise teórica, a partir da definição de categorias analíticas que servem de referência para caracterizar a cultura brasileira, e nos princípios universais do cooperativismo como categorias que servem para caracterizar a estrutura da organização cooperativista. Parte-se do pressuposto de que os princípios universais do cooperativismo não são suficientes para estabelecerem vínculos identitários entre seus membros, recorrendo-se aos valores da cultura brasileira para estabelecer laços de sociabilidade.
