A construção de um coral na EE João Batista Hermeto: diálogos entre a música, juventude e currículo

Resumo: This project arose with the intention of researching on how music is inserted in the daily life of high school students of the State School Doctor João Batista Hermeto of the municipality of Lavras - Minas Gerais and, at the same time, explore the possible potentials as a teaching strategy and to establish a dialogue in the current curriculum at the School. The way to establish this dialogue was initiated with the implementation of a Choir composed by students who, from our visit to the School, freely expressed their interest in forming a group with activities in the afternoon at the space of School and, sometimes, at spaces of the University. This work was coordinated by the researcher and conducted together with the Regent and some participants of the Vozes do Campus Choir (UFLA). This research proposal arose from the interest in knowing how music stimulates youth and how it is approached in the School, since music is closely linked to the sociocultural context of the individual and social experiences of groups. This research has a qualitative perspective of theoretical-empirical nature, and was carried out through an Action Research in this school. For data collection we used a semi-structured interview, combining open and closed questions, at which time the interviewee was able to explain about the topic from the proposed problematizations. The analysis of the data was made through the Content Analysis method. From this work, it is expected that students and educators will understand the potential of music in life and in dayto-day activities, both inside and outside schools, making it possible to establish relationships between art, in this case music, and the development of the students in educational processes that seek an integral, integrating and humanizing perspective. It is also intended for this experience to be a mobilizer of policies and projects in the context of institutions of higher education and public basic education, in a collaborative way.

It is also intended for this experience to be a mobilizer of policies and projects in the context of institutions of higher education and public basic education, in a collaborative way.Este projeto surgiu com o intuito de pesquisar de que forma a música está inserida no cotidiano de estudantes do Ensino Médio da Escola Estadual Doutor João Batista Hermeto do município de Lavras – Minas Gerais além de, concomitantemente, explorar os possíveis potenciais da mesma como estratégia de ensino e estabelecer um diálogo no currículo vigente na Escola. A forma de estabelecer esse diálogo foi iniciada com a implementação de um Coral composto por estudantes que, a partir de nossa visita à Escola, manifestaram livremente seu interesse por compor um grupo com atividades no período da tarde no espaço da Escola e, algumas vezes, em espaços da Universidade. Esse trabalho foi coordenado pelo pesquisador e conduzido juntamente com o Regente e alguns participantes do Coral Vozes do Campus (UFLA). Essa proposta de pesquisa surgiu do interesse por saber como a música estimula a juventude e de que forma é abordada na Escola, já que a música está muito ligada ao contexto sociocultural do indivíduo e de seus grupos de vivências sociais. Essa pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo de cunho teórico-empírico, e foi realizada por meio de uma Pesquisa-ação nessa Escola. Para coleta de dados utilizamos entrevista semiestruturada, combinando questões abertas e fechadas, momento em que o/a entrevistado/a pôde explanar sobre o tema a partir das problematizações propostas. A análise dos dados foi feita a partir do método de Análise de Conteúdo. Espera-se, a partir deste trabalho, que estudantes e educadores/as compreendam o potencial da música na vida e no cotidiano, dentro e fora das escolas, possibilitando estabelecer relações entre a arte, no caso, a música, e o desenvolvimento dos/as estudantes em processos de educação que busquem uma perspectiva integral, integradora e humanizadora.
