Maintes - um jogo educacional para apoiar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem sobre manutenção de software

Resumo: There are alternatives to improve teaching-learning process in various fields of study. Although these alternatives are important advancement, Software Engineering still presents deficit in number of available options to assist students who want to acquire knowledge about this area. This work presents MaintES (Maintenance Educational Software), 3D educational software that seeks to involve students a challenger and interactive environment related to Software Maintenance. This software is provided by the Web platform and the student needs only a computer with Internet access to play. To evaluate its usefulness in contributing in the teaching-learning process, we invited students, teachers, and researchers to assess MaintES. After they play MaintES, they answered a questionnaire in which questions had to know playfulness, user feeling, and content on software maintenance. With the analysis of the responses, we found that MaintES can contribute significantly to better learning of the contents of Software Maintenance.

Embora isso seja um importante avanço, a Engenharia de Software ainda apresenta déficit na quantidade de opções disponíveis para auxiliar os estudantes que procuram adquirir conhecimento. Neste trabalho, é apresentado o desenvolvimento do MaintES (Maintenance Educational Software), um jogo educacional computacional 3D para envolver o estudante em um ambiente interativo repleto de desafios relacionados a Manutenção de Software. Este software é disponibilizado pela plataforma Web e o estudante necessita apenas de um computador com acesso a Internet para jogar. Para avaliar a sua utilidade na contribuição no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, foram convidados alunos, professores e pesquisadores para avaliarem o MaintES. Após eles jogarem o MaintES, eles responderam um questionário no qual havia questões para retratar a ludicidade, o sentimento do usuário e o conteúdo sobre manutenção de software.
