Movimento agroecológico no Brasil: a construção da resistência a luz da abordagem neogramsciana

Recognizing the need for research on social movements and on neo-Gramscian discourse approach in resistance in Organizational Studies, we ask: in what way the agroecological movement in the city of Araponga (MG) promotes resistance to the hegemony of agribusiness from the reconstruction of different aspects of social reality in the region? The methodological design includes bibliographical research and field research. The latter was conducted through semistructured interviews with actors involved in the agroecological experience developed in the municipality of Araponga. The interviews were analyzed in order to establish connections between agroecology and agroecological knowledge, social relations, autonomy from markets and value system. The results show that the agroecological movement resists agribusiness through the articulation of a counter-hegemonic identity developed from: association and engagement with other social movements and non-governmental actors; knowledge construction by small farmers legitimized as interlocutors with public institutions and markets, reflecting on changes in power relations.
