Resumo: The present article aims to present the experience of university extension developed in the distance course of Pedagogy of the Federal University of Lavras. With the creation of the Center for the Study of Distance Education - NEPEDI - it was possi-ble to articulate, in the scope of distance education, the demands of undergraduate education and those of the community where the support centers of the course are inserted. We intend to report on some projects and actions that have been carried out since the institution of the Nucleus (2015) to date, demonstrating the possibility of guaranteeing in distance undergraduation the presence of the tripod teaching, rese-arch and extension, regardless of the challenges encountered along the way. In or-der to do so, we discuss the importance of thinking about the Pedagogy students formation, coupled with extension practices as a way to enable a dialogue between the theory studied and practice, and to promote the formation of conscientious citi-zens and professionals, who can contribute actively to the improvement of our soci-ety.

Com a criação do Núcleo de Estudos da Pedagogia a distância - NEPEDI – foi possível articular, no âmbito da educação a distância, as demandas do ensino de graduação e as da comunidade onde se inserem os pólos de apoio presencial do curso. Pretendemos relatar alguns projetos e ações que foram realizados desde a instituição do Núcleo (2015) até a presente data, demonstrando a possibilidade de se garantir na graduação a distância a presença do tripé ensino, pesquisa e extensão, independente dos desafios encontrados pelo caminho.
