The present work proposes to reflect on the representation of Amazonian sources in journalistic narratives, having as object of analysis reports by journalist Eliane Brum published on the website El País Brasil, with the objective of understanding how the narrative construction of these texts occurs and how the present subjects are configured. From the perspective of the current of narrative studies associated with journalism, the research seeks to problematize the communicative processes in their forms in constructions, seeing the argumentative strategies and effects of narratives that have not only vertical, but horizontal and transversal paths and that are present in the production of world senses. The study analyzes nine reports from 2017 to 2020 on the Amazon region using the Critical Narrative Analysis method by Motta (2013) in conjunction with the Content Analysis according to Bardin (2011). When investigating Eliane Brum's narratives, we find argumentative forms and representational discourses that offer a broad frame of reference, raising important questions about the region, inviting the reader to reflect on their own references and worldviews, Amazonian sources are institutionalized as ways of knowing. and their life stories are told with a keen eye of observation and dialogue.
