It addresses urban violence, one of the most impacting socioeconomic phenomena in Brazil today. It shows the high rates of homicide, robbery, robbery, robbery, lynchings, among others. These do not only influence personal health or the way people relate to the environment they live in, but also to the economic aspect of Brazil. The expenses are very high for both prevention and treatment. Thus, the problem question of this research is: How does urban violence affect health and social relations in? A Phenomenology of studies and research on urban violence is presented. It is worth noting the different influences on health and social relations of the population of São Luís - MA between the years 2014 and 2017. The research is qualitative and descriptive. Its basis is epistemological in the foundations of Phenomenology and Phenomenological Psychology of Edmund Husserl (1859-1938). The research also has a documentary and bibliographic character. Citizen material was used: newspapers, articles, national and international scientific publications, violence reports, public health data and local electronic press news. The study shows that violence associated with unrestrained pursuit of money and material possessions has frightening consequences, such as physical and subjective damage to health. The main impacts of urban violence on the health of the Ludovic population were deaths. It is important to note that many impacts that affect human subjectivity are not quantified and / or publicly disclosed. In fact, besides urban violence, it is not limited to assaults, there is an "invisible" side of this, which is not exposed, but directly and indirectly affects the ways of being and being in the capital of Maranhão. In short, our social fabric is sick.
