Comportamento do sistema nervoso autonômico, da qualidade de sono e do nível de ansiedade de pacientes submetidos à cirurgia de revascularização do miocárdio nos momentos pré e durante a pandemia de Covid 19

Coronary artery bypass graft has been shown to be a safe and successful procedure for the treatment of coronary insufficiency. Alteration of the autonomic nervous system after cardiac surgery has been presented as one of the post- surgical complications. Aim of this study was to investigate the behavior of the autonomic nervous system, sleep quality and anxiety of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft in the pre and during the COVID 19 pandemic. Sample consisted of 23 patients undergoing to coronary artery bypass graft. Anthropometric data, body composition, heart rate variability by series of RR intervals, sleep quality and anxiety were evaluated. Shapiro-Wilk test, Student's t tests, Wilcoxon tests, Pearson and Spearman correlation and the two-way analysis of variance test (one-way ANOVA) were used, followed by the Tukey post hoc test. P≤0.05 was considered statistically significant. When analyzing the HRV before the R-R(ms) interval, the SDNN(ms) and RMSSD(ms) showed a significant difference in the pre and post CABG only in the Before the Pandemic group, a significant difference was also found when comparing the groups. The pNN50(%) index showed a significant difference only in the During the Pandemic groups. The LF(ms2), HF(ms2), LF(%), HF(%) and LF/HF indexes showed significant changes in the Before the Pandemic group, and only LF(ms2), LF(%) and LF/HF had significant difference in the During the Pandemic group. All groups had significant changes in anxiety and sleep quality. A significant difference was found between the groups when comparing anxiety in pre-CRM. There was a correlation between systolic, diastolic and mean blood pressure, oxygen saturation, iR-R, with sleep quality in the group before the pandemic. Frequency domain indices correlated with sleep quality in pre-pandemic groups. Patients showed changes in HRV parameters, sleep quality and anxiety after CABG. Patients who were evaluated during the COVID-19 pandemic presented data with significant differences in the evaluated parameters. Sleep quality and anxiety correlated with hemodynamic profile and autonomic nervous system variables.
