O trabalho analisa as ressignificações das concepções de cidadania na educação em ciências, nos textos dos Projetos Político-Pedagógicos (PPP) e na percepção dos professores de ciências de quatro escolas do município de Petrópolis. Buscamos investigar a integração desses PPP na prática dos professores de ciências, com base no referencial do ciclo de políticas e de recontextualização. Analisamos os textos dos PPP e as entrevistas com os professores, utilizando a análise de conteúdo temática de Bardin. Os PPP investigados apresentaram um viés teórico e pouco vinculado à realidade destes docentes e estes, de forma geral, apresentaram uma concepção de cidadania compatível com a teoria política liberal, denotando desafios em ensinar ciências sob uma ótica cidadã. This study aims to examine the re-significations of conceptions of citizenship in Science education, in the texts of the Pedagogic Political Projects (PPP) and in the perception of the Science teachers of four schools in the municipality of Petrópolis. We seek to investigate the integration of these PPP in the practice of Science teachers, based on the reference of the policies cycle and re-contextualization. We analyse the PPP’s texts and the interviews with the teachers, using the Bardin’s thematic content analysis. The investigated PPP have presented a theoretical bias and little linked to the reality of these teachers and these, in general, have presented a conception of citizenship compatible with liberal political theory, denoting challenges in teaching Science from a citizen perspective.
