Resumo: Private Initiative was an artistic action in the access hall of the bathrooms at the Arts and Communication Center at Federal University of Pernambuco, in June 2018, during the collective exhibition “Tramações”. The action consisted of making public the images produced inside the bathrooms seen through plastic sheets and an overhead projector installation. Members of the public made the projected images. I reviewed the speeches produced in the bathrooms, a space legally "protected" from surveillance cameras, and I asked: what are the tensions generated in the publication of images fabricated inside a private space? How do they reveal deviant life styles?

La acción consistió en hacer públicas las imágenes producidas dentro de los baños por intermedio de transparencias y de la instalación de retroproyectores. La retroproyección ocurrió bajo la administración del público. Propongo una mirada a los discursos producidos en un espacio “protegido” legalmente por las cámaras de vigilancia y pregunto: ¿Cuáles son las tensiones generadas en la acción de publicación de imágenes fabricadas en el interior de un espacio de privacidad? ¿Cómo revelan desviaciones en la forma de vida?Iniciativa Privada foi uma ação artística proposta no corredor de acesso aos banheiros do Centro de Artes e Comunicação/UFPE, em junho de 2018, durante a exposição coletiva “Tramações”. A ação consistia em tornar públicas as imagens produzidas dentro dos banheiros por meio de transparências e de uma instalação de retroprojetores. A retroprojeção aconteceu sob a administração do público. Lanço um olhar sobre os discursos produzidos em um espaço juridicamente “protegido” das câmeras de vigilância e questiono: quais as tensões geradas na publicização de imagens fabricadas no interior de um espaço de privacidade?
