On interart experiences and education: Madu and Terezinha Veloso, from Giramundo Puppet Theater Company

For 22 years, Giramundo Puppet Theater Company signed an agreement with UFMG in order to promote aesthetic gatherings between artists and students. Thus, Maria do Carmo Vivacqua Martins (Madu) and Terezinha Veloso, co-founders of the Group, acted as teacher-artists at the School of Fine Arts of that university, maintaining, simultaneously, individual and collective productions. Based on the trigger image of a puppet and a painting as agents of interdisciplinarity, this article seeks to understand the presence of the puppet from the perspective of Interart Studies and Education and, also, probe the praxis-poiesis of both teacher-artists. For this, a qualitative investigation (through perceptions and social construction of meaning) was carried out through A/R/Tografia: a poetic methodology that evidences the artists' identity.
