Resumo: In addition to qualifying a psychopathological structure, the term perversion, in general, refers to something that causes repulsion or is condemnable. But the term can assume positive connotations. In this article, it is associated with the idea of path and linked to artistic creativity. A reading of the work and the main character of the hybrid novel “Woman’s World: a graphic novel”, by British writer and graphic designer Graham Rawle, is proposed. The book was published for the first time in 2005, consisting of more than 400 pages constructed one by one using clippings from women's magazines from the early 1960s. The concept of mise en abyme is associated with the perversion in conjunction with artistic creation, and literally configured at the end of the article.

Se propone una lectura de la obra y protagonista de la novela híbrida Woman's World: la novela gráfica, del escritor y diseñador gráfico británico Graham Rawle. Publicado por primera vez en 2005, las más de 400 páginas del libro fueron compuestas, una por una, utilizando recortes extraídos de revistas femeninas de principios de la década de 1960. El concepto de mise en abyme se asocia con la perversión en conjunto con la creación artística, y se configura literalmente al final del artículo.Além de qualificar uma estrutura psicopatológica, o termo perversão, de modo geral, refere-se a algo que causa repulsa ou é condenável. Mas o termo pode assumir conotações positivas. Neste artigo, associa-se à ideia de caminho e vincula-se à criatividade artística. Propõe-se uma leitura da obra e da personagem principal do romance híbrido Woman’s World: a graphic novel, do escritor e designer gráfico britânico Graham Rawle. Publicado pela primeira vez em 2005, as mais de 400 páginas do livro foram compostas, uma a uma, utilizando recortes extraídos de revistas femininas do início dos anos de 1960.
