Resumo: In this article, I will make a brief introduction to the roots of the artist’s book and its history in the twentieth century, approaching the artist’s book as an intermedial work, exploring the relations between word and image. I will focus, ultimately, the teaching project “Print, Text, Image”, involving artists’ books printed in lithography, which I have developed with undergraduate and graduate students at the School of Fine Arts at UFMG and at Hope School of Fine Arts at Indiana University, Bloomington (EUA) in the first semester of 2009, as Visiting Artist/Professor.
