Resumo: This article aims to present Paulo Freire's educational legacy to the world and the importance of Greta Thunberg's Social and environmental activism for the survival of present and future generations. To this end, it starts from a problematization of the political speeches given by the current president of the Federative Republic of Brazil to these two worldly recognized personalities. A qualitative approach is adopted and the documentary research and literature review procedures are used. Among the conclusions, we understand that Paulo Freire's liberating pedagogy and the staunch stance of environmental activist Greta Thunberg are completed as symbols that represent the impossibility of materializing the purpose implied in the speeches of the Brazilian president.

Para tanto, parte de uma problematização dos discursos políticos proferidos pelo atual presidente da República Federativa do Brasil a essas duas personalidades de reconhecimento mundial. Adota-se uma abordagem qualitativa e utiliza-se dos procedimentos pesquisa documental e revisão bibliográfica.
