Resumo: The 1860s in brazilian Empire, was marked by a linguistic transformation that culminate with the modification of imperial political culture, as the emergency of republicanism. The Espírito Santo provincial didn’t was detached this process, although composed of a trained elite to prevalence of order in locality, and the republicanism dissemination has appeared much later that in Court, the sixties also modificated the political culture local. By means of political language analysis of locate journals, verify that the reporting period promoted the formation and consolidation of Liberal Party provincial, as well as, the its linguistic connection with the concepts widespread in Rio de Janeiro’s press.

A Província do Espírito Santo não esteve distante desse processo, embora composta por uma elite treinada à prevalência da ordem na localidade, e a difusão do republicanismo tenha surgido bem mais tarde que na Corte, os anos sessenta também modificou a cultura política local.
