Resumo: This article seeks to follow in the footsteps of a statement by Borges, according to which all his books are deeply Jewish, trying to understand the meaning of this statement by articulating it to the Borgesian poetics, whose seminal and revealing example of our postulate is found in the symbolic reading of the poem The Golem. We maintain that the Borgesian poetics is of Jewish origin, since it is based not on verbal creation, nor on the original construction of plots and literary arguments, but, above all, on reading, commenting on works read, on the multiplication of comments and on the incessant need to repeat the narrative in other levels of meaning and forms, creating reports and readings that are distinguished by the “difference in the repetition” that create and affirm their alterity in the same
