The Wordas Survival in Anne Frank: a Path to Symbolization

This article aims to analyze the status of words in the life and work of Anne Frank, also reflecting on the factors that possibly culminated in the importance of writing for the young woman. Starting from the representation of words in the writer's life, initially in a general sense and later considering the conditions to which the Frank family was subjected and the centrality of the diary in a significant period of Anne's life. Thus, we seek to briefly examine the place of words for the girl from historical, religious and psychological points of view, and how words accompanied her to record her reality, but in a certain way also giving her a type of treatment, in the sense of mediation with its surroundings in favor of the process of symbolization and integration of her Self.
