Resumo: This text intends to pass for the readings made on the text of Zechariah prophet. There is no intention to make an exegetical boarding, but before, only a description of the research of the prophet, so little read in Brazil and Latin America. Its relevance leads to the knowledge of the positions and most innovative the more classic proposals and of the interpretation of this predictive text.

Pretende-­se, neste artigo, avaliar algumas leituras já realizadas sobre o texto do profeta Zacarias. Não há, aqui, a intenção de se fazer uma abordagem exegética, mas antes, um histórico da pesquisa do profeta - tão pouco lido no Brasil e na América Latina. Sua relevância dá-­se, pois, no conhecimento das posições e propostas mais clássicas e, também, em outras mais inovadoras da interpretação desse texto profético. Reconhecem-­se, ainda, as últimas dificuldades encontradas na sua interpretação.
