Resumo: | The purpose of this article is to discuss, through a series of interviews with rugby players participating in the elite competitions of the sport, how they understand their practice in a modality little known to the general public and considered by society as a practice violence and with values linked to masculinity and how, from this experience, they deal with their own sexuality and with the different interpretations that society makes of them, from the perspective of the third wave of feminism. We find that the participants consider that each woman is free to build her own identity, choosing whether or not to follow the values linked by society. In spite of this, practitioners, in order to begin the practice and maintain it, still find resistance from society and from the family itself. |
