Resumo: | The purpose of this article will be to analyze the production of different discourses from canoeing as a leisure practice, which transits from the deviant to the canonical, from its regulation. The methodology used consisted of an exploratory approach, with the collaboration of different agents. The procedures consisted in combining techniques for data collection: participant and non-participant field observations and subsequent. The course of the analysis suggested the existence of a power relationship (correlation of forces) that sets different subjects in dispute in determination what are the truths of leisure. Since it does not fit socially that any activity in free time be considered legitimate or even legal, especially in a region of the Frontier, in a tensional and dynamic game of oppositions, tolerances and alliances, different discourses and social practices involving the leisure in the waterways go into dispute. |

La metodología utilizada consistió en un enfoque exploratorio, que contó con la colaboración de diferentes agentes. Los procedimientos consistieron en la combinación de técnicas para la recolección de datos: observaciones de campo participante y no participante y posteriores entrevistas. Como no cabe socialmente que toda actividad en el tiempo libre sea considerada legítima o incluso legal, especialmente en una región de frontera, en un juego tensional y dinámico de oposiciones, tolerancias y alianzas, entran en disputa diferentes discursos y prácticas sociales envolviendo el ocio en los cursos de agua.O objetivo desse artigo será analisar a produção de diferentes discursos a partir da canoagem como uma prática de lazer, que transita do desviante ao canônico, a partir de sua regulamentação.
