Between trajectories of black lives and the production of knowledge in the field of leisure studies: a leisure talk with Angela Brêtas

Resumo: Based on the premise that the podcast, as a media language, is a way of disseminating knowledge and training subjects in the field of leisure, the aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between the life trajectories of black researchers, participants of the podcast 'Papo de Lazer com Angela Brêtas' with their training and performance in the field of Leisure Studies. For this, we used as a methodology the survey of episodes that had black participants, the listening of the episodes and transcription of the excerpts in which the participants narrated life experiences in which the racial issue was present. The training that takes place in the academic context and the experiences of black subject-bodies, permeating the recognition of blackness and leisure experiences, provides the professionals with a politically engaged performance and have the podcast as a virtual environment of encounter. The trajectories of black researchers reaffirm their commitment to rescuing silenced and invisible histories and cultures in academia and denounce the existence of epistemic racism as a debt that requires political and responsible treatment with the history of the Brazilian black population.

Para ello, se utilizó como metodología el levantamiento de episodios que tuvieron participantes negras y negros, la escucha de los episodios y la transcripción de los extractos en los que los participantes narraron experiencias de vida en las que estuvo presente la cuestión racial. La formación obtenida en el contexto académico y las vivencias de los sujetos-cuerpos negros, permeando el reconocimiento de la negritud y las experiencias de ocio, proporciona a las/os profesionales una actuación políticamente comprometida y tienen el podcast como un medio virtual de encuentro. Las trayectorias de las/os investigadoras/es negras/os reafirman su compromiso con el rescate de historias y culturas silenciadas e invisibilizadas en la academia y denuncian la existencia del racismo epistémico como una deuda que requiere un tratamiento político y responsable con la historia de la población negra brasileña.Partindo da premissa de que o podcast, enquanto linguagem midiática, é uma maneira de divulgar conhecimentos e formar os/as sujeitos/as no âmbito do lazer, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a relação das trajetórias de vida de pesquisadoras/es negras/os participantes do podcast ‘Papo de Lazer com Angela Bretas’ com a sua formação e atuação no campo dos Estudos do Lazer. Para isso, utilizamos como metodologia o levantamento dos episódios que tiveram participantes negras e negros, a escuta dos episódios e a transcrição dos trechos em que as/os participantes narraram experiências de vida em que a questão racial estivesse presente. A formação obtida no contexto acadêmico e das vivências dos sujeitos-corpos negros, perpassando o reconhecimento da negritude e as experiências de lazer, proporciona aos/às profissionais uma atuação politicamente engajada e têm o podcast como um ambiente virtual de encontro.
