Resumo: | This study aims to identify and analyze possible contributions of the classical theory of Marcel Mauss "The gift", 1925, to leisure studies. The scientific production of leisure had strong influences of sociological studies, given the construction of the theoretical debate in this field from classical and contemporary authors. Anthropology is an area of knowledge that brings leisure contributions, especially by looking back the cultural dynamics in which different social groups are inserted and can thus complement and deepen aspects discussed originally by sociological studies. "The gift" was discussed in the research group and, since then, other texts were selected for the composition of this essay, following the suggestions of the group participants. As a technique, the forms of analysis of Severino (2007) were used: textual, thematic and interpretative. The study of the work of Marcel Mauss is part of a collective research project. The theory of the gift can be applied to leisure today from three points: 1) of the time and attitude category, 2) of the experience of values in favor: of the collective life, social life and respect for differences and 3) of the sociability aspect. |

La producción científica de ocio tenía fuertes influencias de los estudios sociológicos, dada la construcción del debate teórico en este campo de autores clásicos y contemporáneos. La Antropología es un área de conocimiento que aporta contribuciones de ocio, especialmente por mirar hacia atrás la dinámica cultural en el que diferentes grupos sociales se insertan y por lo tanto pueden complementar y profundizar aspectos discutidos originalmente por los estudios sociológicos. Se llevó a cabo el debate de trabajo “el ensayo sobre el don” en el grupo de investigación y desde entonces, fueron seleccionados otros textos para la composición de este ensayo, sugeridos por los participantes del grupo. Como técnica, se utilizó de las formas de análisis de Severino (2007): textual, temático e interpretativo. El estudio de la obra de Marcel Mauss es parte de un proyecto de investigación colectiva. La teoría del don puede ser aplicada al ocio hoy a partir de tres puntos: 1) de la categoría tiempo y actitud, 2) de la experiencia de los valores: a favor de la vida colectiva, social, respeto a las diferencias y 3) del aspecto de la sociabilidad.Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar e analisar possíveis contribuições da obra clássica de Marcel Mauss “O ensaio sobre a dádiva”, de 1925, aos estudos do lazer. A produção científica sobre lazer teve fortes influências dos estudos sociológicos, dada a construção do debate teórico nesse campo a partir de autores clássicos e contemporâneos. A Antropologia é uma área de conhecimento que traz contribuições ao lazer, sobretudo pelo olhar voltado à dinâmica cultural em que os diferentes grupos sociais estão inseridos e pode, assim, complementar e aprofundar aspectos discutidos originalmente pelos estudos sociológicos. Realizou-se o debate da obra “O ensaio sobre a dádiva” no grupo de pesquisa e a partir de então, selecionou-se outros textos para a composição deste ensaio, sugeridos pelos participantes do grupo. Como técnica utilizou-se as formas de análise de Severino (2007): textual, temática e interpretativa. O estudo da obra de Marcel Mauss é parte de um projeto de pesquisa coletivo.
