PUBLIC MANAGEMENT OF LEISURE IN URBAN SPACES: A CASE STUDY OF WORKER’S SQUARE ON BREVES, PARÁ

Resumo: This article seeks to analyze public management policies for leisure that affect the Workers’ Square in the city of Breves, in the Amazon, located in the archipelago of Marajó, in order to understand the social dynamics of leisure in this space, analyze popular participation in the management and the dynamic between government and local society. To achieve the objectives were conducted bibliographic and documents studies, as well as semi-structured interviews with representatives of the following social groups: municipal managers; formal and informal workers of the square; people living around the square; and patrons and users of the square. They interviewed a total of 22 social social agents from non-probability sampling for convenience. It was found the structure and functional recent destinations the square were not widely discussed with society Breves, being neglected this action a series of demands that societies. Still, the Worker Square configured as important urban spaces city leisure, with a set of actions developed by both the municipal government and by partner institutions in its public administration.

Still, the Worker Square configured as important urban spaces city leisure, with a set of actions developed by both the municipal government and by partner institutions in its public administration.En este artículo se pretende analizar las políticas de gestión pública para el ocio que afectan a la Plaza de los Trabajadores en la ciudad de Breves, Pará, en la Amazonia, situado en el archipiélago de Marajó, con el fin de comprender la dinámica social de ocio en este espacio, analizar la participación popular en la gestión del agua y la dinámica entre el gobierno y la sociedad local. Para lograr los objetivos se llevaron a cabo los estudios bibliográficos y documentos, así como entrevistas semiestructuradas con los representantes de los siguientes grupos sociales: los gestores municipales; los trabajadores formales e informales de la plaza; las personas que viven alrededor de la plaza; y los clientes y usuarios de la plaza. Se entrevistó a un total de 22 trabajadores sociales de muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se encontró la estructura y destinos funcionales recientes la plaza no fueron ampliamente discutido con la sociedad Breves, que se descuiden esta acción una serie de demandas que las sociedades. Aún así, la plaza de trabajo configurados como importantes espacios de ocio urbano de la ciudad, con un conjunto de acciones desarrolladas tanto por el gobierno municipal y por las instituciones asociadas en su administración pública.O presente artigo buscou analisar a gestão pública de políticas para o lazer que incidem na Praça do Operário, no Município de Breves, na Amazônia paraense, localizado no Arquipélago do Marajó, a fim de compreender a dinâmica social do lazer nesse espaço, analisar a participação popular no processo gestão pública e a dinâmica entre poder público e sociedade local. Para a consecução dos objetivos foram realizados estudos bibliográficos e documentais, além de entrevistas semiestruturadas com representantes dos gestores públicos municipais, trabalhadores formais e informais da praça, moradores do entorno da praça e frequentadores e usuários da praça. Foram realizadas um total de 22 entrevistas, a partir de uma amostragem não probabilística por conveniência. Constatou-se que a requalificação e refuncionalização recentes da praça não foram amplamente discutidas com a sociedade de Breves, sendo negligenciado dessa ação uma série de demandas dessa sociedade.
