THE ADVENTURE BUSINESS IN BELO HORIZONTE: PROFESSIONAL PROFILE, OUTLOOK AND CONNECTIONS WITH THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Resumo: The goal of this work was to outline an overview of the adventure market in Belo Horizonte according to the perception of managers responsible for consolidated companies in the area. To reach that objective, interviews were made with them. It was identified that there is no specific training among professionals in the area, which is based on practice and passion for adventure. Technical knowledge, the ability to foresee and deal with risky situations and proactivity are valued; a degree in Physical Education is mentioned as desirable. Finally, the market is said to be in the making and they believe in its capacity for development, despite setting different deadlines for this. We believe that the pandemic should cause changes in this market’s process.

Para ello, se realizaron entrevistas. Se identificó que no existe una formación específica entre los profesionales del área, que se base en la práctica y la pasión por la aventura. Se valoran los conocimientos técnicos, la capacidad de prever y afrontar situaciones de riesgo y la proactividad; Se cita como deseable la formación en Educación Física. Finalmente, se dice que el mercado está en construcción y se cree en su capacidad de desarrollo, a pesar de fijar diferentes plazos para ello. Creemos que la pandemia debe provocar cambios en este proceso de mercado.O objetivo deste trabalho foi traçar um panorama do mercado de aventura em Belo Horizonte segundo a percepção de dois gestores responsáveis por empresas consolidadas na área. Para isso, foram realizadas entrevistas. Identificou-se que não há uma formação específica entre os profissionais da área, sendo ela pautada na prática e na paixão pela aventura. Valoriza-se o conhecimento técnico, a capacidade para prever e lidar com situações de risco e a proatividade; a formação em Educação Física é citada como desejável. Por fim, o mercado é apontado como em construção e acreditam em sua capacidade de desenvolvimento, apesar de estabelecerem prazos diferentes para isso.
