Resumo: | The relationship between leisure, culture and consumption is easily discernible, more than that, it is almost unlikely to dissociate them. The only problem is that it can be very interesting only for those who can get involved in this context. Therefore, this study reports the results of an empirical exploratory research that aimed to understand how low income women, heads of families, articulate, negotiate and construct the meanings related to leisure and leisure consumption in their daily lives, (of) associating it with consumption activities mediated by the market. Using a qualitative, ethnographic-based methodology, the conclusion was reached that there is a dimension of leisure consumption represented by activities mediated by the market, but there is also the presence of a subjective and socially constructed dimension in the defined leisure concept by these women. |

El único problema es que puede ser algo muy interesante solo para aquellos que pueden encajar en este contexto. Por esta razón, este estudio informa los resultados de una investigación empírica, de naturaleza exploratoria, cuyo objetivo era comprender cómo las mujeres de bajos ingresos, jefes de familia, articulan, negocian y construyen los significados relacionados con el ocio y el consumo de ocio en su vida cotidiana. (de) asociarlo con actividades de consumo mediadas por el mercado. Utilizando una metodología cualitativa, con inspiración etnográfica, se concluyó que existe una dimensión de consumo de ocio representada por actividades mediadas por el mercado, pero también existe la presencia de una dimensión subjetiva y socialmente construida en el concepto de ocio definido para estas mujeres.A relação entre lazer, cultura e consumo é facilmente perceptível, mais do que isso, é quase improvável dissociá-los. O único problema é que pode ser algo muito interessante apenas para aqueles que conseguem se inserir neste contexto. Por isso, esse estudo relata resultados de uma pesquisa empírica, de cunho exploratório, que teve como objetivo compreender como mulheres de baixa renda, na condição de chefes de família, articulam, negociam e constroem os significados relacionados ao lazer e ao consumo do lazer em seu cotidiano, (de)associando-o de atividades de consumo mediadas pelo mercado.
