Evaluation of agricultural products sold at the producer fair in the city of Santa Fé do Sul - São Paulo, Brazil

Resumo: | The concern for quality food consumption, as well as organic food has taken large proportions, mainly due to the concern to maintain healthier habits. Organic food has stood out for not containing fertilizers, pesticides, pesticides and other synthetics in its production chain. The present research aims to evaluate the commercialization of conven- tional and organic agricultural products in the city of Santa Fé do Sul/SP at the farmers’ market. Questionnaires with open and closed questions were applied to 12 marketers who commercialize exclusively agricultural products. With the data analysis it was possible to notice that there is a predominance of male people, over 50 years old. Most of them use family labor on the property, and the conventional products have a small highlight in relation to the organic ones, in both production systems there is a predominance of the commercialization of leafy vegetables. The problems mentioned by the producers are the lack of water, hindering the harvest of the products and subsequent sale/marke- ting. As a conclusion it is expected that these traders/producers receive better technical assistance to supply eventual needs in the property, so that they reflect in improvement in the availability and commercialization of the products. |

Os alimentos orgânicos têm se destacado por não conter fertilizantes, agrotóxicos, pesticidas e outros sintéticos na sua cadeia de produção. A presente pes- quisa tem como objetivo avaliar a comercialização de produtos agrícolas convencionais e orgânicos no município de Santa Fé do Sul/SP na feira do produtor rural. Foram aplicados questionários com questões abertas e fechadas a 12 feirantes que comercializam exclusivamente produtos agrícolas. Com a análise dos dados foi possível notar que há o predomínio de pessoas do sexo masculino, com idade superior a 50 anos. A grande maioria utiliza na propriedade a mão de obra familiar, e os produtos convencionais tem um pequeno destaque em relação aos orgânicos, em ambos os sistemas de produção há o predomínio da comercialização por folhosas. Os problemas citados pelos produtores são a falta de água, prejudicando a colheita dos produtos e subsequência venda/comercialização.
