Resumo: The cultivation of crambe stands out as a potential raw material for the formulation of biofuels, gaining space among renewable energy sources, in addition to the aptitude for crop rotation and green coverage. The aim of this study was to evaluate the productive response of crambe when cultivated at different spacings and plant populations at different  sowing times in the western region of Paraná. The experiment was arranged in a randomized block design, factorial 3x3x4, with three sowing times, three spacings (17, 34 and 51 cm) and four plant densities (60, 90, 120 and 150 plants m²), with three replications, totaling 108 parcels, each parcel presenting 24 m². The cultivar used was ‘FMS Brilhante’. The parameters evaluated were: plant height, number of racemes per plant, average length of racemes per plant, number of fruits per plant, number of fruits per raceme and yield. The sowing of crambe carried out on 03/05/2014 provided the best results. The population of 120 plants m² favored the best plant growth and fruiting. The 51 cm spacing between rows showed better responses for productivity. The use of larger spacing with medium plant densities, combined with early sowing, favored the morphological and productive characteristics of the crambe plant.

The use of larger spacing with medium plant densities, combined with early sowing, favored the morphological and productive characteristics of the crambe plant.
