Resumo: Regulation faces challenges from the point of view of information retrieval. As a general rule, these laws are organized chronologically. The Course Evaluation Instrument has the guidelines that qualify higher education courses. The theme of accessibility is dealt with in a transversal way in this instrument and sometimes its concept is misunderstood due to the wrong scope of the term. Information Science and its studies focused on the intellectual description of information, knowledge and its search specifications are important pillars for the reflection proposed in this study: would there be an instrument capable of organizing knowledge in a semantic way, representing its transversality and increasing its recoverability? The objective of this bibliographic review is to find this instrument. Fourteen documents were selected for full reading, resulting in the suggestion of the thesaurus as an instrument for organizing and representing knowledge, as it is a structured system of relationship between terms.

Por regra geral, essas legislações são organizadas cronologicamente. O Instrumento de Avaliação de Cursos apresenta as diretrizes que qualificam os cursos superiores. Assim, a temática da acessibilidade é tratada de forma transversal neste recurso e, por vezes, o seu conceito fica mal compreendido por questões de abrangência equivocada do termo. A Ciência da Informação e seus estudos com foco na descrição intelectual da informação, do conhecimento e de suas especificações de busca são importantes pilares para a reflexão proposta neste estudo: haveria um instrumento capaz de organizar o conhecimento de forma semântica, representando a sua transversalidade e aumentando a sua recuperabilidade? O objetivo desta revisão bibliográfica é encontrar esse instrumento.
