Resumo: O texto faz uma análise da trajetória da produção do “campo” Trabalho e educação, buscando identificar suas características determinantes e as alterações nelas ocorridas, desde os anos 1980, quando predominavam as discussões que buscavam articular a educação com os interesses históricos da classe trabalhadora, ou seja, com a estratégia revolucionária, até o presente, em que as análises sobre tal relação têm se arrefecido. Ao final, indica a necessidade de se resgatar a discussão acerca daquela relação e aponta alguns desafios teóricos neste sentido.
