Resumo: | The objective of this work is to analyze how teachers in vocational education in the area of information and communication technology (ICT) use technology. The project is relevant because the understanding of how this professional works with ICTs can improve their professional performance and their relationships, as well as provide subsidies that may contribute to their practices. This research - descriptive, exploratory, with a qualitative approach - used as an instrument the semistructured interview, applied to 16 (sixteen) teachers of a teaching institution, in two cities of the Paraíba Valley of São Paulo. The IRAMUTEQ software, free domain, was used to analyze the collected data, and 5 classes of analysis were found. The development of content analysis was systematized by the theory presented by Bardin (2011). The analysis of the data shows that the teacher makes use of ICT in the classroom, using them for most of the tasks of teaching practice; that ICT teachers are in constant updating work, with the Internet as the main search base; and that such an update is necessary, as ICTs evolve and change constantly. Therefore, in accordance with the institutional identity to which they belong, teachers undergo "certification" processes that enable them to teach ICT in a qualified way. |
