Resumo: Este trabalho objetiva debater sobre o uso das tecnologias gerenciais no âmbito escolar, como forma de governo da identidade e do trabalho docente. Tem como base um estudo de caso, foram entrevistados dezesseis professores dos cursos técnicos e tecnológicos da Unidade de Ensino de Pelotas do CEFET-RS. A referida pesquisa teve como foco, a investigação do impacto das reestruturações produtivas e educacionais sobre o trabalho e a identidade docente na citada Instituição.
