Teacher education, popular extension and kenneth Zeichner's third space: the experience of the "EEFD Baixada" project

Resumo: This work aims to present an account of experiences developed by the extension project “Physical Education in Baixada Fluminense: autonomy and knowledge construction (EEFD Baixada)” and reflect on the potentialities of approximation between the concept of popular extension and the construction of a third space in teacher education. As a methodological procedure, analyzes of the published works by the project were carried out. The third space has been debated as a proposal to overcome the disconnect between the school and the university, proposing a restructuring of the organization and performance of the involved subjects in this relationship. Counting on the dialogicity as a fundamental basis, popular extension has presented itself as the main way out of the traditional unilateral and assistentialist conception. Thus, in the present extension project, it is possible to identify some clues of spaces for dialog within the institutional (university), school and professional scope.

Como procedimientos metodológicos, se llevaron a cabo análisis de los trabajos publicados por el proyecto. El tercer espacio ha sido debatido como una propuesta para superar la desconexión entre la escuela y la universidad, proponiendo una reestructuración de la organización y el desempeño de los sujetos involucrados en esta relación. Contando con la dialogicidad como base fundamental, la extensión popular se ha presentado como la principal salida de la concepción tradicional unilateral y asistencialista. En el presente proyecto de extensión, es posible identificar algunas pistas de espacios de diálogo dentro del ámbito institucional (universitario), escolar y profesional.O presente trabalho tem por objetivos apresentar um relato de experiências desenvolvidas pelo projeto de extensão “Educação Física na Baixada Fluminense: autonomia e construção de conhecimento (EEFD Baixada)” e refletir sobre as potencialidades de aproximação com a concepção de extensão popular e com a construção de um terceiro espaço na formação docente. Como procedimentos metodológicos foram realizadas análises dos trabalhos publicados pelo projeto. O terceiro espaço tem sido debatido como uma proposta de superação da desconexão entre a escola e a universidade, propondo uma reestruturação da organização e atuação dos sujeitos envolvidos nessa relação. Contando com a dialogicidade como uma base fundamental, a extensão popular tem se apresentado como a principal saída para a tradicional concepção assistencialista e unilateral.
